FAQ
Do you ship?
Yes! We offer shipping in Canada only, via Canada Post, for a flat rate of $15. Please note that very fragile or larger breakable pieces cannot be shipped, and this will be noted in the product description.
How long does it take to receive an order?
Depending on the season and location, anywhere from 2-12 business days, generally speaking. Some exceptions apply.
Do you accept returns/refunds?
All items are final sale.
I'm local to you - can I pick up my item in person?
Yes! I am happy to meet you by appointment in Steveston Village, Richmond, BC. Please email me to arrange a time.
Is your jewelry authentic?
Yes! All jewelry pieces go through rigorous testing. Most pieces are professionally cleaned and looked over by a professional jeweller to ensure they are in good working condition. If I can't 100% identify a metal or a stone, I will say "unidentified" in the product description.
I've heard antique and vintage jewelry contains lead. Is that true?
Sometimes - yes! Prior to the 1980s it was not uncommon to use lead to solder pieces together or do repairs. While the thought of lead poisoning is indeed alarming, you would have to put the jewelry in your mouth and probably chew it a bit to experience any ill effects - so obviously I recommend you do not attempt to ingest your jewelry! And of course, it's always a smart idea to keep any vintage or antique jewelry, lead or not, out of the reach of little ones.
Also as a side note, I do not purchase any "niello" style jewelry, as it is known to have the most significant lead content of vintage/antique jewelry.
